The author of the Hunger Games series and the book that im reading MockingJay is Suzanne Collins. In 1991 she began her proffesional career as a writer. she worked on the staff of several Nickelodeon shows. A series she made before The Hunger Games was The Underland Chronicles which is a New York Times bestseller. It has been sold in 21 different countries. Her next series was The Hunger Games Trilogy. It has been sold in 56 different countries and in 51 different languages. In 2010 she was added to the TIMES 100 list. In march 2012 the first movie of the series came out and has since made $700 million in the world wide box office.
